I really like this thread and I really like Chrome, but they seem to be completely incompatible. Whenever there are sizable amount of these new video style gifs on the screen it goes black momentarily and when it comes back all those videos are blacked out.

It's a problem whose only solution sadly seems to be to own a really good computer (I recently upgraded and no longer have any issues opening the pages) - even with the move to webm/gifvs that are smaller than comparable gifs, the size of each individual file I post has gone from 1mb to 5mb on average, and others post much larger ones than that. I index everything I post on the first page so you can open just that individual post of gifs but that doesn't help for all the little one-off gifs or any of the discussion that happens. Sorry dude
