I don't know about any good ones, but Tempe marketplace and Paradise valley both suck.

The main strip for downtown mesa is full of stops though, which is nice.

Mill Avenue near the University is absolutely nuts for pokestops but it's not indoors. If you're just looking to stay in the AC while hitting pokestops you usually end up driving slow enough down the main strip to hit every stop. (As a passenger, I do not endorse poke-driving.)

Arizona Mills Mall and Fiesta Mall are both barren wastelands. Part of the issue is you get no bars inside the big box buildings on your phone so you'll find eevee's in the parking lot and nothing inside.

The golf resort across from Fry's in Tempe has a ton of pokestops too but it's all outdoors. Still that's a nice area to go walking in, it's very pretty.

I've heard there is a magical place called Tempe Town Lakes but have not gone there yet myself. (I have heard there are Magikarp nests.)

Bro you missed it, it was a few days ago. It's not very effective. You'll still see players named "LikeMyHacksV2" and *V4. that are level 36+ and controlling every gym in the area.

Word from the grapevine says that if you teleport, you will be insta banned. But it doesn't stop smart botters/people who botted to get good mons from participating. I thought it should be trivial to implement some limit to the number of gyms you can take per minute, or travel rate between them. Niantic ought to implement softbans for anything but walking between -gyms- for the time being.

I've been going to a few pokestops a day the last few days, and I have not gained a single egg. I used to get them as soon as the last few hatched and was constantly at 9. Speaking of recording distance, I did a bit of testing and quickly concluded that the game doesn't update every 4 minutes based on my phone's clock, but perhaps 4 minutes after logging in.

And my Gal S5 has a problem where it will press the multi-window button all by itself, and this causes the pokemon go app to re load. If it was just one of these problems, I could probably manage it but all three together makes me want to die. literally die.

I'm not sure who you're responding to, but none of the stuff you mentioned works that way.

When a Pokemon spawns, it has a unique CP, IVs, and moves for each trainer that tries to catch it.

The "Pokedex influences IVs" thing is based on a Pokemon's dex number (Bulbasaur is #1, Mewtwo is #150, etc.).

Confirmed.

To answer your other post, about IVs/generation on spawn/trainer level. It's all related. Yes, you and the other guy will get the same mon, but that in no way implies that it will have a good or bad base attack.

The pokedex number is a generalized trend for something we do not understand yet. Anecdotally, mons that appear low on the list (1-15) seem to almost always appear in the wild with 0-5 attack IVs. That doesn't mean that a #50 mon would have 9 attack either. I rarely get good zubats, most are <5 attack IV, but I get above average zubats too, more often than I get above average pidgeys or rattatas. I have also had several poo poo-tier eevees, but more often than not they are above average if not around 80%.

Other games do RNG based on user variables. There was a time where you could load specific monsters in World of Warcraft dungeons by "seeding" it, as in entering the dungeon with your player ID and the server timestamp. It's possible that Player_Level and Spawn_Time could be those two factors (edit: but it doesn't explain IV trends). We're sure that trainer level is one part of it though.

edit: IVs, moves, weight, height all the same. I think the CP only changes per trainer level, but afaik everything is constant hence streamers sharing co-ordinates to high IV snorlaxes etc. also lower level people can get better mons, higher level people can get shittier mons. pokemon level changes with trainer level, but it is not a linear relationship.

Unless something has changed the CP of captured pokemon isn't always identical for same level players. My housemate and I both caught an exeggutor, mine was ~1500 CP hers was 39 CP and we were both the same level.

It might have been a fluke but I'm pretty sure I've seen this on a few occasions.

If it has wing attack and hurricane it is a capable attacker. Steel wing and hurricane makes for a decent defender.

They might not be botters if they're only 33-34. I've personally met a level 33 player who walks all around the city all the time. I mean it could still be bots, but if they are they're being smart about it. I've seen a level 40 holding a few gyms and that's basically impossible right now, but anything 35 or below is technically still doable.

Speaking of having a gym at your workplace, I realized that if you're in the coin cashing waiting period and another team takes over your gym, it's better to take them out and leave the gym empty until someone from your team comes along and deposits a pokemon. Otherwise you're just wasting potions if the pokemon you put there is the only one, since it's relatively easy to take out.

Please don't leave low CP stuff in gyms. So let's say the lowest pokemon in a yellow gym is a 1700 CP Vaporeon. That's great! Being a yellow player, I'd love to train it with my 1400 CP Raichu.

It's honestly hard for me to find a pokemon lower than 1000 CP in my roster. I have to scroll way down and spend a couple minutes searching for a pokemon that can punch above its weight and net a bunch of prestige from a single fight.

I've read guides recommending to put in a weak pokemon that everyone can beat up. Don't do that; you barely get any prestige for beating up on a weaker pokemon. Put in your strongest brick wall of a pokemon. Pick a special attacker, with lower CP and punches above its weight, to train it up real quick (hello Raichu or Wigglytuff!). A single quick fight can net 500 prestige vs. a slow slog through multiple pokemon that may net like 200 by the end of it.

In other words, putting in trash pokemon makes it slower to train up for your own team and makes it easy to take over by enemy teams.
