People paying American dollars to let other people know they didn't agree with someone's position on something is the lifeblood of these forums.

There was a longer video with an interview with the guy posted earlier. Basically his helmet saved him. He got stuck in the intake duct long enough that his helmet (which got pulled off his head) destroyed the engine and it stopped before it could pull him through the duct.

He walked away with a broken arm, a whole lot of bruises and some seriously brown pants.

I was walking in downtown Seoul on Saturday evening when I came across this wonderful sight, and I thought of yall:

So on this incredibly busy road, with heavy pedestrian traffic, the local Mercedes dealership is doing a quick asphalt job in their small parking area. Naturally, this called for two steam-rollers. I watched in amazement for a minute while the team stood next to the building, away from the people traffic. The guy on the steamroller was old and would just kind of turn around halfway a bit and back up. People would have to immediately move away or just Merry Melody'd. Mind you, not pictured to the left were 3-4 other workers who seemed intent to just stand next to the asphalt and watch their buddy drive.

his shoulders journey much further through the lathe than his head does; in the slowmo the base of his neck is nearly at his loving armpit before it swings back around. He's fuckin' dead or at least paralyzed with bone-blood jam for organs.

The trouble with weather forecasting is that it's right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it.
Started working for a new company today that's a manufacturer of supplements. I'm in IT as a web developer and have to do all the OSHA training still. During the walk around with the safety supervisor he told us about a guy cleaning out a machine took off the guard and stuck his hand in to clean it, yeah he get got his arm crushed :stonk:, I'll stick to IT.

It looks really bad, and could have been way worse, but no one was injured. The skydivers were fine, one plane landed like normal, and the plane that lost a wing deployed a parachute and made it to the ground safely as well.

Don't bring up plane parachutes, it's massive derail material in some threads (poo poo, possibly this one too).

Sometimes it's not the bomb that's retarded.

If you give planes parachutes they'll bail out in fear and will not fight the enemy with full strength.

Having a made-up safety story is Management 101 in a lot of places. Every retail job I had years ago each had managers with a story about how their close friend/associate got blown up/mangled because... they just... weren't careful enough!

Holy poo poo. I saw that crash so many times when it first came out but I didn't realize there's footage from both planes. I thought the second plane was empty!

Did I hear plane parachute?

http://www.n-tv.de/panorama/Bruchpilot-muss-in-Baumkrone-uebernachten-article18428356.html

This happened yesterday in Germany.
An ultralight plane crashed into a tree and got stuck at 100 feet.
It took 13 hours to rescue the pilot. The plane was secured with ropes to keep it from falling.

They felled the tree it was stuck in, it impacted the ground and caught fire.

Well they all had parachutes on, I think it's a requirement that even the pilots of skydiving planes wear parachutes even if they don't plan to jump.
