CBC Radio 1 is great on the way to and from work. But I stream using Google Music outside those hours when on the road.

You don't even need to have the secondary citizenship with the way the law is written. If you have the possibility to obtain another citizenship they essentially somehow will deport you to some country of possible citizenship. I'd be deported to the EU

"In the days before he became Liberal leader, she went so far as to tell a reporter that Trudeau was much easier to work with than Thomas Mulcair or the New Democrats. (And) the NDP isn’t wild about May, either." (ed: another reason to vote NDP) It will be interesting to see how her constituency responds to this. The impression I get from supporters is they are more interested in the Green Party than May herself so this might go poorly for her. Can't wait to see her lose to the Green Party in the next election.

With the exception of the live axle, those things haven't been replaced by a superior alternative. We have podcasts now. You get to hear more in-depth discussions about topics that interest you more specifically, and you're not beholden to the whims of some twit at the CBC who schedules the radio programs. You can pause it and then come back to it later, so you can listen to longer discussions than your commute would otherwise allow. You can listen to it while driving out of the range of a local radio broadcast. Your enjoyment cannot be affected by a faulty transmitter, nor by bad weather. I have no idea why anyone would listen to radio anymore.

I think SK really deserves to take over the mantle of Worst Province from Alberta at this point. At least AB has given an indication it could be salvageable in parts.

Because the radio is a part of my car and the phone is not, and i don't want to gently caress around with cables and little fm transmitters and data caps when I can just push a button and hear someone drone on about the plight of dockworkers in Moosejaw for 20 minutes or whatever.

Really? My car just automatically connects to my phone via Bluetooth and continues playing whatever I was listening to last. It's even less work than tuning a radio station.

You can put a new stereo system with bluetooth into the car without buying a new car. You know that, right? Then you'll have the option to listen to podcasts, your music, streaming music, radio, take phone calls safely if necessary, all while maintaining the radio as an option. If I were commuting by car regularly, I'd certainly want it to be as comfortable a space as possible. Just sayin'
