I 100% support cops intimidating and beating up people for information when I already know those people are bad guys. Like I have a huge problem with IRL Guantanamo, but Jack Bauer can electrocute everyone he wants with improvised lamp cord.

Another thing this show demonstrates well is that heavily cinematic, serialized shows should be allowed to do whatever number of episodes they feel is right rather than a minimum of 12 or 13 or whatever. To me this felt like the perfect length for the story they wanted to tell (put me in the "on the fence about a second season continuing this story" group) and nothing felt like pointless filler or unrelated plot tangents.

I really liked the character of toothless, even though he could get kinda annoying sometimes. He has the same condition as me, and seeing how he dealt with not having teeth and being bullied into putting his shoulders together really brought me back.
