So many people preorder now that you can literally walk into an AT&T store and walk out with a phone no problem.

Have they fixed that load problem now? I historically purchased a month or two after launch date due to F5 madness and servers being down to the point where you'd have better luck at a casino.

iOS 10 havers, is it true that the stock mail app in iOS 10 will finally let you display conversations with the oldest first? The one reason I don't use mail.app is because it displays conversation threads with the newest email first so I have to go the bottom and scroll up.

I've had all of the iOS 10 betas so far and no major issues aside from some flakey performance in the early ones and we're just talking about some apps being slightly slow to load or respond. 2. As simple as it is to sign up, just delete the profile it installs and then restart. 3. I believe you have to delete the profile which will revert you back to official release.

Scanbot crashes. A lot. Scannable/One Note/Camera apps don't, so you might have to switch OCR apps until they can publicly build against iOS10. Otherwise, yeah, this is it. I mean, I normally run beta for new version releases, but iOS10 has been less flaky than any previous beta I've participated in--no need to restore from backups or anything.

No, you do this then have to wait until a release build newer than your current beta comes out. Alternatively, you can do a full restore which will bring you back tot he current stable release. 3. I think the beta track will get you to the GM which, unless there's some major 0-day flaw, will be the same as release. From there it'll put you on the 10.1 (then 10.2, then...) track when that starts.

One of the earlier betas had a horrible phone destroying bug where the iTunes Radio UI pop-up for play more/less of this would be play more / play less on the music app but if your phone was locked and you used the locked screen controls then the pop-up would be play less/play more. Aside from that iOS10 has been good. What i really want is watchOS 3.

If you have apps to actually use then those are neat too. But it's not something i would call essential. Michael Scott posted:Haha, you bought the Apple Watch. Are you happy with that decision? For the most part, yeah. It feels neglected as far as apps being developed for it but the few I use I definitely enjoy. Run keeper (now that it actually works), TheGrint for golf, ecobee for my thermostat / homekit integration with Siri and actually most Siri stuff works pretty good since you can just go Hey Siri to the watch and set reminders, timers, etc. The activity tracking and health stuff is nice in that it shames for me being lazy and not standing up or moving enough.

Showing new mail at the bottom is actually the default on a new install now. It drove me mad trying to work out why I couldn't see new emails I knew were there. Instantly disabled for me, drove me mad.

Short answer: just restore the iPhone to get it back to completely new status. (And/or restore one of your own backups to it.) Long answer: their Apple ID is likely signed in to the App Store, for iCloud backup, or has been used to purchase one or more of the apps still on the device. Sign out, delete apps, etc. and it should stop.

Should i update my iphone 8gb 5c from ios 8.1 to the latest one? Worried about making it much slower. but read that ios9 takes up less space, or the apps are smaller or something?

Hey guys, I know this probably isn't really an appropriate question for this thread but I'll take the risk. So. I live in Massachusetts and my little brother lives in Florida with our mom. Last night he was killed in a motorcycle accident. This morning i hopped on a plane to Florida to help with everything. He had an iPhone 6 with a pass code on it, that's been blowing up all night. I'd like to get into the phone, as I imagine there's some people who are wondering what the hell is going on. We tried calling Sprint but they need a death certificate to unlock it for us. Which I understand, and we can do eventually, but my mom is freaking out about getting into the phone. Is there anything I can do?
|
# ? Aug 20, 2016 20:36 |
|
Sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, unless you know the passcode, not even Sprint can get into it. This was kinda the big issue with the San Bernardino shooter's phone that made headline news. Based on what I know, there is nothing you can do. You can contact Facebook (with the death certificate) to perhaps get access to get his Facebook account to let people know on Facebook. If you keep the phone charged, you can answer phone calls, at least. This must be really tough, I'm really sorry.
|
# ? Aug 20, 2016 20:42 |
|
Oh, I had an idea! You can take the SIM card out (wait, is Sprint still CDMA? Sorry I'm Canadian). Anyhow, you CAN transfer the line to ANOTHER phone that you own that isn't locked (Sprint will probably need a death certificate to do that), and then you can receive text messages and answer them as appropriate, but without his Apple ID password, you won't be able to get his iMessages...

Cut his corpses finger off and use it to open the phone. Why does your mom want access to his dick pics so bad? Tell her to calm down. That was his private poo poo, I know if I die I don't want my mom reading all the hosed up conversations I have with my twisted friends.

Actually, I think if you have access to his body, using his finger might be the only option. You don't need to cut it off, obviously.
