Looks like onion, tomato and peeled courgette (or maybe cucumber?). It's the start of a ratatouille but not a finished dish

Fish Of Doom posted:This is like the mystery green mush from Calvin and Hobbes that they would always have for dinner. I've always understood the gunk that Calvin ate for dinner. When I was a kid, my parents had friends that made the worst holistic hippy natural vegan food ever. It was always mashed green poo poo with no seasoning served with unleavened bread. They were still singing Kumbaya in 80's; they were ridiculous hippy dropouts. Every meal was inedible. Just overcooked mystery greens mashed together in a pile. For desert, oatmeal cookies seasoned with wheat germ and unsweetened carob. No flour. For decadence, you could put honey on them. One would normally pocket them and then dispose of them quietly. No one should suffer unsweetened carob.

My grandmother was on a health kick in the early 90's and gave my sister and me some carob "chocolate." Wasn't the worst thing in world, but we sure as hell didn't ask about it again. ** maybe that's the point of carob. Sugar Bean has a new favorite as of 09:21 on Aug 20, 2016 |

Bear with me here, this is going to sound retarded. Petco has this bulk treat bar, and one of the bins is carob chip cookies for dogs, and they're loving delicious. I was teasing my dog one day telling her I was going to eat all her treats (turns out she doesn't speak English) and took a nibble from one and, well... We split that bag.

PCOS Bill posted:Bear with me here, this is going to sound retarded. I once worked there fifteen years ago, I know what you're talking about. They also sold these vanilla creme sandwich cookies that I tried on a dare, and they're pretty much generic store brand sandwich cookies, only softened in that way they become when they've been stale for a while. That's probably what they are.

When I worked across from a yogurt shop, I liked to get carob in my yogurt over chocolate chips. The texture of them didn't get weird and chalky in the cold yogurt. I don't know if I'd eat the stuff straight, though.

I see a tiny bit of spinach in the lower right, TOO HEALTHY ADD MORE RANCH. It looks more like a plate of nachos with alfredo sauce instead of cheese than a salad. Sadly, if that were blue cheese dressing I probably would.

So I don't know how widespread this is, but apparently this is actually a thing. Supposedly, if you cook chicken to exactly done, temperature-wise, it'll still actually be somewhat pink in the middle, and there are places that actually serve it like this. A buddy of mine had some, and he said it was actually pretty drat good. The texture was different, and it had a different taste. Again, I don't know how true this all is, but a cursory Google search has this article: http://www.esquire.com/food-drink/food/how-to/a10797/eating-raw-chicken-0911/ YMMV, of course.

I used to eat cereal with orange juice a lot because when I was a kid milk would sometimes make me violently ill (this all went away when I was a teen so who knows). Most cereal tastes like poo poo with OJ, but Corn Flakes actually taste better.
