He looks like he has a bright future ahead of him if he's going to become one of Mariota's top two guys but how much redraft value can we expect out of Sharpe for 2016? I'm iffy about drafting him as anything more than a bye week fill-in. I'm skeptical of his upside in his rookie year. He's a route-running specialist but DBs are going to play a lot more physical once the regular season starts up and I still expect Rishard Matthews to likely lead the team in targets.

Langford has been impressive this preseason and it looked like he was well on his way to having a real three-down role but this is mighty concerning. Especially because the Bears as an organization refuse to give out injury information.

John Fox is Diet Belichick when it comes to injury news and it's so loving annoying.

This is probably nothing but for all we know Langford got his foot amputated.

Trying to decide on a trade offer, would love advice.

I'm in a 16 team keeper league. The trade offer is I would get Demaryius Thomas in exchange for Tyler Lockett and a third-round pick (#35 pick overall). My reflexive reaction "Oh poo poo, awesome" but now I'm not sure. Thomas is older and has a horrendous QB situation, whereas Lockett might be a superstar in the next year or two.

Maybe I've overthinking this? Thomas has had four straight years of great production, and he was still a top 15 receiver last year despite having a major down season. How much worse could things get when last season's QB play in Denver was so bad already.

Please, advice?

My other keepers are Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, Julio Jones, Donte Moncrief, and Greg Olsen. Everybody gets to keep six, so that's 96 players off the board before the draft begins. No limit to how many years you can keep the same guy, no punishment for keeping guys.

Only a few spots left in the Scott Fish Bowl ripoff dynasty startup. Auction draft is this wednesday, 8/24. Will certainly play differently than any other league you are playing in this year.

Sorry, not up-to-date with the slang. Does "mash" mean "mash the keyboard yes do it" or something else?

Also, thanks for the compliment. The team literally lost every game before I took over the team three years ago, and I won the championship last year. :)

I ended up with the number 1 pick in the goon 20 team league. Does the scarcity of decent RBs and the fact I will not pick again for almost 40 picks put someone like Gurley (or whoever is the #1 RB) over Brown, even though Brown gets ~ an extra point per game for return yards and is typically the number 1 pick in more traditional leagues? Standard scoring outside of some points for returns.

The new 25 yard touchback rule is going to reduce kickoff runbacks significantly, so I would put less emphasis on kickoff return guys even if you get 1 point per 25 yards or whatever.

We are not seeing it as much in the preseason because in the preseason, teams are evaluating runback performances and so they don't care as much about kick returns that don't make it to the 25 yard line. I expect in the regular season to see the ration of touchbacks to runs skew significantly (which is the actual intent of the rule).

I don't think this affects punt returns, so if your player does both, I wouldn't worry about it.

I already had marked Lewis as too risky to draft even within a round of his ADP because he has yet to practice in full with the team. Now its obvious to most people unfortunately.

He wasn't a good receiver or pass blocker and with Fox's history of RBBC, I wouldn't use the word steal.

Maybe steal is a strong word. I think the opportunity is there for him if he can make some improvements in the areas you mentioned. Thanks for pointing out his pass blocking and receiving though because I think I will be slightly less trigger-happy grabbing him. The problem is I draft in the #1 spot so it is really hard to target specific dudes without reaching due to the 22 pick gap.

Langford has played an overwhelming majority of first-team snaps so far in the preseason so the RBBC fears seem to be overblown. He looks like he actually will have a three-down role, if his health cooperates. He was spotted in a walking boot yesterday and the Bears are going to give us nothing to go on. Even if it's just a minor sprain, he looked like he was going to start the season hot before this and if that turns into a cold start now, the RBBC fears could come back. There's real upside to Langford but he's a question mark for Week 1.

That's probably a good idea. Although Gurley is a bit risky, you would probably be best off taking Adrian Peterson (who I believe is number one on ESPN) in order to be super set at the RB spot since you're not going to pick again for such a long time. Of course you'll always be solid picking Antonio, but the WRs you'll be able to get at pick 40/41 are going to be pretty decent and all the remaining RBs will pretty much be trash.

The only thing I would say is depending on the experience level of the league, you may want to shorten the benches a slot. This will put more talent back on the wire for people to go after and will make replacement level higher. This will keep less hardcore people engaged and less likely to quit because there isn't anything on the waiver wire and they think they can't possibly improve their team because the best WR on the wire is Terrance Williams.

If it's people that have been playing for a while, don't change anything.

Langford didn't participate in practice, but it's clear the boot was purely precautionary after Langford got "stepped on" in the Bears' second preseason game. So there's that.
