The first wild shiny I ever got was a shiny Marill in the Great Marsh back in Diamond. It was really late and I was super drowsy when it showed up so I thought I was dreaming. Since then, aside from some chain fishing and the insane three month breeding stint where I hatched a shiny Pumpkaboo on Christmas Eve, I ran into a shiny Budew in my X file, and just last week I stumbled across a shiny Kecleon that's not only Adamant, but has two perfect IVs. Too bad it's Color Change and not Protean.

A few days ago I managed to hatch a shiny Onix. I think the Gen VI games have been the only generation where a number of shinies I've obtained were from breeding. If I remember, there's a Helioptile, a Machop, a Feebas and now an Onix. I think I may have found more then 30 shinies, not counting all the obviously hacked ones from wonder trade. The only shinies I ever caught were Spinda and Taillow in Ruby, and then a Magikarp in HGSS right before the Lake of Rage (oof)

I've still never found a legit shiny. All mine are through the absurd amount of wondertrading I do and a good 2/3rds of them are almost definitely hacked.

The only shiny i ever encountered was a Graveler. Thankfully i had a damp Psyduck with me who i was levelling up, switched him and prevented a selfdestruct. I named him Bubba Klump and will hyper train him in beautiful Ahola

My only wild shinies are two Audinos and a Deerling named Bambino, all caught in Black 2. Have never even seen a wild shiny outside of that game.

Let's see... in Emerald I got a shiny Geodude and Tentacool, in Platinum I caught a shiny Silcoon which became Beautifly and a shiny Pichu which became Raichu... in Soul Silver I got a shiny Ursaring and the lake Gyarados of course... then in X I caught a shiny Skiddo early on who was on my first champion team, a shiny Dragonair from a Friend Safari, and recently got a shiny Murkrow from a horde while grabbing some dudes for a Living Dex. And in Alpha Sapphire, got another shiny Geodude from Rock Smash  I didn't get jack in Black 2, though.

It wasn't until Alpha Sapphire (where I got a Voltorb and a Whismur randomly) that I encountered a shiny I didn't specifically plan for. I bred for a shiny Beldum in Black 2 - never again (after two full days, poor Multivac hatched with the wrong nature, because the Everstone only had a 50% chance of doing its thing). But any time I knew I'd be doing something repetitive like farming held items in a Friend Safari or chain fishing, I was ready with something to give it a good nature. So I have my red Gyarados named Vortigern, and my blue Braviary named Sam, and my yellow Luvdisc named Power of Luv.

I got a shiny Venonat in Crystal, and then failed to find any until Y, where I found a Smeargle in the Friend Safari then got a Druddigon from a (Masuda method) egg. I then tried to breed for other shinies, failed even stacking the Shiny Charm and Masuda Method, got bored and stopped.

Changed my water-whore to damp Quagsire a while back just in case, for this specific scenario. I've yet to go seeking a shiny Geodude/Graveler, but I'm fuckin' prepared when I do.

Hilariously incompetent villains who fail at the simplest of tasks are actually the best villains for games for children. Team Rocket is great because it also introduces children to what real life villains do and for similar reasons Team Skull will probably be up there as best team. I hope they sell a new version of "bitter" vitamins that both lower stats and make the pokemon dislike you.

I caught two shinies in Y - a Goomy and a Skiddo, both in random encounters that I probably should have been using Repels for  - but none since. I trained both of them up for my E4 rematch team (also featuring Lapras, Magcargo, Aegislash and Mega Ampharos) since Diantha & Co. don't gain any levels but still have some new dialogue I wanted to see. And my original team was already hideously overlevelled first time round.

My favorite wild caught shiny was a Roselia found while EV grinding. It became my Sweet Scent user because it looks nice, then it learned Energy Ball and Petal Blizzard along with Sleep Powder to both EV grind against hordes but also to not leave me in a precarious position if I were to find a shiny Nosepass (those bastards know Block and Petal Blizzard kills everything). I gave it a Shiny Stone and it's just lovely.
