The problem is the amount of shite taht gets brought out as well. Art as in wall art? I think a lot of the post modernist movement is from the US? But I am not much of a fan myself. I like the old Northern Renaissance pictures myself. Breughal the Elder and hieronymous bosch. Music? Again despite the systems being in place in the USA there seems to be a few more classic bands from the UK, but again a lot is from the US.

The reason is that the committees on science in Congress have been stuffed with some of the dumbest motherfuckers in Congress for at least thirty-six years now, as it's a low-prestige committee which doesn't get you the big campaign donations of, say, finance. Hand them a paper on the mating dynamics of an endangered species of rodents in the Southwest and they'll call for cuts to science funding since obviously scientists don't have anything better to do than watch rats gently caress and really what's that going to do for us?

Honestly, I would consider s'mores, cajun food, and Texas barbecue alone to be proof that we have contributed to the culinary world. We deeply, deeply regret some of our worst abominations such as American cheese, turducken, candy corn. The endless array of creatively fried foods are considered a mixed blessing.

Non-Kraft non-Velveeta American cheese is actually pretty good. I mean, it's bland, but as it's primarily intended as a condiment that's perfectly acceptable; it's basically just a Colby/Cheddar blend.
