If you cut away that whole pedo-friendly crap I would have no problem with Reddit. That's sort of like Marion Barry saying that if you don't count the murders Washington DC has a fairly low crime rate.  EDIT: you know what I dug a little deeper so I have to take that back. I once tried going to reddit but never made an account because I couldn't figure out how to look at threads. Every time I clicked on a thread title it wouldn't go to the thread. Also it is really hard to navigate the site and figure out what the gently caress you are looking at. Also reddit is loving trash.

Why does reddit think that having a much larger userbase makes them better than SA? In my experience places with a lot of traffic are 90% memes and flamewars, and the people who are cool and good are all hidden in some obscure part of the site. Compare a popular twitch stream with one that has less than 2000 viewers. The popular chat is just people copy-pasting memes and racial slurs at light speed, meanwhile the obscure chat is cool people talking about stuff in a civilized manner. I also find that most popular sites have atrocious page-layouts and are non-intuitive to navigate. They tend to have poo poo policies and poor moderation too.

So remember what many of us were like back then. Now imagine that there's memes all over the place and they're older than you so you have no idea where they came from. Also, they have no paywall so lol at the idea that they can "keep the facebook users out" but that's part of my facebook rant, which isn't suited for this thread. I'll just say I sometimes miss the old days where the only meme was goatse.
