Getting that itch again, good to see that there's a new league next week. I missed ascendancy completely, are the new melee skills introduced there good and or fun? Likely to stay viable or get nerfed for being fotm in the last patch?

Did someone say snowflake builds? How about lightning warp miner? Go trickster for no mana cost, stack voidbringer and two apeps. Or ice trap sab, only you put the gems in a realmshaper and get it upgrades with its fated counterpart, take avatar of fire and use fire pen to stack 60% fire pen, slap on a kaoms for life and go trapping.

What's the interaction between Elemental Proliferation and Penetration? Does the damage aura inherit the penetration from the initial hit? I'm considering an Ice Spear Cold To Fire/Avatar of fire Inquisitor and I'm wondering how it's going to handle monster elemental resistance.

The ignite is calculated from the damage dealt, so in a sense it uses the penetration from the initial hit. If you have multiple targets ignited, they will all leave a prolif and only the strongest one will be in effect. This is a good way of using weak adds to put a strong ignite on a resistant boss.

The nice thing for me is that I'm probably going to keep my life based POH build and switch from cospri's to QOTF anyway, and I'll really want to run at least 1 life flask + jade + stibnite + quicksilver + silver flask, since I'm mainly wanting to run uber lab at max movespeed anyway. I can drop my quicksilver for atziri promise for boss dps, or run basalt+granite of ironskin swap for quicksilver/silver for tankiness if needed. Either way, none of this is gear that is expensive. Getting the unique flasks will be a harder goal but certainly not needed to make the build functional. EQ is the only elephant in the nerf room, the others are still cool Sunder in particular can carry you very far as two-handed, and Lacerate is literally reave with smaller aoe and better single target (i.e. you can use it all the way)

ZiggyD is a popular streamer for the game. He says what build he's going to do. Every piece of gear associated with that build jumps up in price as everyone copies him. Pity if you thought of the same build independently.

I don't think it'll make taste of hate more expensive, but kiaras and vinktars will likely go up a little. Rumis is dirt cheap on SC but it might go up as well. Honestly this just makes it a better idea to start as something not blade vortex

This is a trap version of a tree I did this league (I did mines instead of traps, so swapped some clusters and took Chain Reaction over Demolitions Specialist). It is a bit low on life/ES though. Playstyle means you're generally not in the thick of things so you can maybe get away with it, if not I'd cut out the Master of Force/Method to Madness/Unstable Munitions branch and pick up Heart and Soul/Arcane Focus/Blast Radius (to get a little bit of offense back).

I want to go IR/life instead of ES and I didn't intend to bother with rumi's or vinktar in the first place, so that part at least shouldn't affect me, but I imagine divinarius will go up even further. I know bv pathfinder isn't exactly a unique concept but I at least had my own deal worked out. Having all the awful little streamer-aping men running it sorta makes it feel less fun.

That tree is bad and you should feel bad  You take a whole bunch of nodes that are either hilariously inefficient or outright terrible for the build (Crystal Skin, Growth and Decay, Survivalist, etc). That tree sorta makes sense if you think of it as lower level before converting to full CI, but even then you take some really inefficient life node pathing. I don't think there is any reason to hybridize yourself that much. Go CI/Lowlife (if you're rich enough), or go Life. Don't try to hybridize.
