In the movie, Luna often talks about her destiny, and how about she is not afraid to die. What is het destiny, since I didn't catch them outright mentioning it?
Also, Regis's best friend Clarus is the father/family member of Gladio (both are from the Amicitia (friendship in Latin) family).
Another thing: How does the empire control their monsters/daemons?.

Finally, I won't say which one, but based on the first hours of the game, one character in particular seems to be moving all over the place.

All of this will be explained in-game, but if you want me to cover the first question...

Luna is an Oracle, which means she can commune with the Archaeans (summons) and abate the Plague of the Stars, a curse over the land which makes the nights longer, which in turn would spawn more daemons. At the end of the Duscae demo, the following text appears over an image that can also been seen in Kingsglaive, depicting the prophecy.

O’er rotted Soil, under blighted Sky, A dread Plague the Wicked has wrought.
In the Light of the Gods, Sword-Sworn at his Side, 'Gainst the Dark the King's Battle is fought.
From the Heavens high, to the Blessed below, Shines the Beam of a Peace long besought.
"Long live thy Line and these Stones divine,
For the Night When All comes to Naught."

Basically: Noctis is important because of the prophecy, Luna sees it as her duty to making sure the prophecy comes true.

Sure, but... if that's true why the hell are Noctis and Luna still getting married?

If Noctis turns out anything like the way he's been characterized in Brotherhood he's on the fast track to becoming one of my favorite FF leads. He's broody without being obnoxious about it, since he's really just awful at expressing himself and prefers to keep his mouth shut rather than risk making a fool of himself, he's not an rear end to the people around him, and I never get bored of his narcolepsy.

In the latest episode I cracked up when the gang checked into a hotel room and Noctis was already curled up in bed, under the covers and fully dressed, before the others even got to comment on the drapes.

Pretty sure the narcolepsy is related to the king being the source of the magic swords / city shield. He's probably just literally drained of energy all the time.

November is still the release date and even if it wasn't they wouldn't announce it before September even hits.

If FFXV removes half of what they've been advertising, I'll grab the pitchforks and join GameFAQs. (Actually, I can't even say that in jest, the internet rage mobs are insane. I'll just be quietly sad that another FF game sucks and go play something else like I did when XIII released.)

I don't consider that likely, though. No Man's Sky was one hell of a bait and switch.

I think I'm the only person in this thread who liked XIII.

I didn't see any trailers, avoided everything for the entire marketing campaign. This was only because I was in a phase of just not caring about video games so I didn't seek anything out.

Then I bought it at Kmart during the last time they actually sold video games...and then I liked it. :v:

Strangely enough, Lightning Returns is my least favorite of the three. I have tried to get into it twice now and the schedule/time limit just turns me off entirely. 13-2 is my favorite because you get to wander off much earlier in the story and Noel isn't as much of a twat.

FFXIII is alright. However, they started the actual development of the game way too late in the production and it shows. Did you know, the developers admitted in a postmortem interview that they didn't have any concrete playable builds until they were ordered to release a public demo for it alongside the Advent Children movie?

That sorta explains why there's very little to do in the game outside following a set path and fighting monsters

It's better than both of them. I mean maybe Spirits Within has aged really well and had layers of complexity I didn't notice as a nipper but I doubt it.

As a string of dumb action scenes it's okay, the talky bits are trash. But part of that's the setting, I don't know why in the year of our lord 2016 they thought a story about the divine right of kings was a good idea. The few bits that engaged my brain I was pretty firmly on the Niflheim empires side.

Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but I think I like Advent Children better than Kingsglaive. At least, if there weren't all of those annoying kids then I definitely would. One of my biggest gripes with Kingsglaive is that the motivation for two characters is some lovely empire started a world war and ruined our homes forcing us into the capital city of the territory we were in. Because we could use magic we got recruited for WAR. And although it wasn't the territory's fault they didn't have the military strength to defend our homes in the first place, we still hate them and will fight with the lovely empire because maybe we'll get our homes back?

So even though the action was pretty cool, it was still hard to follow in some of the scenes, especially toward the end, with everyone warping around. And the lip-syncing was pretty bad for some of the more minor characters, which is a shame because everything else looked so darn purdy.
