Yeah. Stagehands who would often manipulate the set to fit the storytelling were essentially dressed like what we consider ninjas, but they were still "visible" because Predator-tech hadn't been invented yet. After a while, audiences sort of started tuning them out and not paying attention to them, and then plays started having them jump out and shank a character in the play and holy poo poo he came out of goddamn nowhere. So really the bulk of a ninja's effectiveness depends on all witnesses having years of training to ignore them and pretend they don't exist.

I feel pretty bad for this guy. ]Ok he deserved some sort of punishment but it was his friend that committed the sexual assault then followed it up with assault.
