Given the women involved, couldn't help thinking of this passage from Iain Banks' Transition: But of course she was not a racist. To the contrary, as she could point out, in appropriate company (that would be to say, highly limited and avowedly discreet company), had she not tasted of what she thought of as the Dark Pleasures, with blacks, on more than one occasion? The epitome of such enjoyment was, for her, to be taken anally by such a Nubian brute. Privately, she thought of this act as “going to Sèvres-Babylone,” as this was the deepest, darkest and most excitingly, enticingly dangerous Métro station that she knew of.

With Nigel Farage's appearance I think Trump also secured the key Tony Blair war criminal endorsement by proxy.

Maybe in the House, but my sense is that candidates are still trying to leave a lot of room between themselves and the presidential campaign, some of them very successfully (Portman in PA). I was talking about establishment Republican thinkers/media not Senators who actually have to win elections.

Also the best moment of this election was Rubio on the debate stage before NH. He had vastly overperformed expectations in Iowa, was looking really good in NH in polling and was probably a strong performance there away from uniting the establishment wing of the party and almost certainly winning the nomination and then the presidency [because Rubio could and probably would have beat HRC] and then he short circuited on live national television.
