Everything from their Paper Mario Color Splash video was basically completely spot on.

One day Link will get a voice actor and that voice actor will be Andre.

Jonas Albrecht posted:This is one of Twilight Princess' flaws, the inclusion of Ganon and Zelda. Both really have no place in the story, and I honestly would have preferred that it be about a Link getting drawn into some alien internecine shenanigans. It would have been a good chance to explore the concepts of all the Links who born, live their lives, and die without ever knowing about their lineage's destiny. I'd say Midna is also part of the problem, in the sense that she's a well developed character whose story is clearly intertwined with both Ganondorf's and Zelda's. And yet, she's not the player avatar. Link is typically kind of a blank slate, but that makes it visible and pretty jarring. Like, in the cutscene before the fight with Ganon-possessed Zelda, she says something like "I'll stop you!", but the player knows it's going to be Link who actually fights. Although, to be honest, Link being dragged into "some alien internecine shenanigans" is what Majora's Mask did, very well in my opinion.

I've watched maybe 45 minutes so far, honestly not one of their best. Lots of bad jokes and a really dumb live action opener.

I have to give them credit for the insane ridiculous effort that must have took though. I have a feeling that some people will be upset with this when the game comes out but I love how desolate the world seems. It's going to be really fun exploring. Judging from all these gameplay videos, I think it's safe to assume BotW will be the best Zelda. Yes, even better than Wind Waker.

It would take something massive for BOTW to suck. Like, they seriously spent hours upon hours showing the game off and it never got old. I guess it's possible this is a long con and the first area is the only good part of the game, but it would take monumental incompetence to screw up given that we've seen freeform gameplay and not scripted playthroughs of linear areas.

Ways BOTW could suck: 1. It turns out that the 100 shrines are all palette swaps of four or five basic designs. 2. The four main dungeons are cryptic impossible bullshit on a grander scale than ever before. 3. The bosses are lackluster. 4. The people/towns lack the life of towns in pervious Zeldas. I think only #1 is likely, but still. What would a Zelda game be without dicking around in a town with a windmill and horribly ugly NPCs who make bizarre noises when you talk to them?

Shrine count isn't a rumor, though, Nintendo people talked about it at E3. Not trying to be pedantic, just curious. e: or did you mean there was a mini-dungeon rumor even before E3?

Honestly, Link's androgynous enough in modern incarnations that you could just write around using pronouns and just let people project their own gender onto them. (It works slightly better in low-res depictions - how many people even noticed they were doing it with the Undertale character? - but most Zelda games are stylized enough it can work.)

Any tips on the escort mission with the boomerang and the carriage on fire. Because the motion aiming sucks and none of it feels like it controls well at all. I havent been this frustrated at something in a video game in a long long time. edit: never save in the middle of a sequence like that because it started me over before the bridge joust that required the arrow and bomb and I'm all out of bombs haha ugghhh just when I thought I was starting to see what others did in this game it does something deeply un fun like this chase I'm going back to SS SylvainMustach fucked around with this message at 02:12 on Sep 6, 2016 |

You should primarily be focused on any pterodactyls. Kill them as they appear. Everything else is secondary. gently caress up the bokoblin riders if you're near them, but only enough to get away. Don't linger and try to take them all. Sensor bar issues aside, you're not wrong if you think TP's Epona controls are kinda wonky.
