I tried to take some selfies for y'all in front of some kind of famous bridge in Sarajevo, but it was too sunny so they're all either squinty or I'm very poorly lit :smith:

Yes, my beard is awful. I was lazy for a couple weeks and ignored it. I straight shave and have no social life, so sometimes it doesn't feel worth the effort to get rid of it.

Good idea! Unfortunately my dissertation work (theoretical population genetics) has basically no industrial applications, so I'd have to change fields entirely. Alas.

I did this for a while, but the greasiness never really goes away, and the gunk clogging my scalp made me feel hot and gross. Also my hair is super thick and started to feel coarse and unpleasant.

I also had two other costumes that week, Starlord, and a more generic Team Intstinct Lucha Libre Costume, though I'm really quite pleased with how the temporary tattoo on my back turned out

Here's me and my sisters' puppy, Hodor, getting excited for late afternoon database design. I'm growing my hair out from chemo - it's tied back here. Getting long!

Done for now, and we are gonna see how it goes. I was on it for an auto-immune condition, not cancer, so it all depends on how much my body attacks my spine. I won't be able to tell from feel how its progressing, so I'm just living my life in a way that makes me calm and happy and connected.

I know that feeling, I'm 31, and buying Liquor is still a nightmare, because I've only got a temporary paper license (just moved, waiting on the real deal to come in), and I've been turned down several times because of it.
