So lately I'd been noticing a Japanese guy I barely know posting strange, cryptic stuff on Facebook:  I got curious and decided to read through his timeline to see what he's talking about, and that rabbit hole went deep. I'm talking months of regular posts like the above, with only himself commenting and liking. Turns out he's obsessed with famous pop singer Hikaru Utada and is convinced that she's trying to communicate with him through secret codes hidden in her Twitter and Instagram posts. Among other things, he uploaded no less than 12 albums to Facebook containing screenshots of her everyday normal Tweets and Instagram pics and his wall of text responses (inexplicably always in English or French despite both of them being Japanese), as well as drawings of her and his avatar talking together:    Finally I found this post from a while back in which he explains how her posting a picture of bread buttered by a French person is actually her telling him that she noticed him and liked a picture he posted on his Instagram:  Always interesting to find out someone you vaguely know is a crazy weirdo.
