We played volleyball every single day and even played against the local nationals. Afghans take volleyball pretty loving seriously, and this guy who was barely 5 feet tall had insane ups. He'd spike on us with the fury of a dude whose country you'd think we hosed over in every way imaginable. Weird.

We played a lot of cornhole when I was there. I'm pretty mediocre with both eyes open, but I got pretty good at playing with nods. Who needs depth perception?

Apparently Iran considered selling their Tomcats to Canada after the revolution (due to lack of spare parts). Canadian Super Tomcats would have been pretty sick. Also would've been interesting if the RAF got land-based Tomcats instead of the Tornado ADV.
