You're assuming the ever-shifting role of the internet will ever be mastered and people still won't make mistakes, still won't take internet security seriously enough and still won't half-assedly do shady poo poo or make bad comments anyway on the side. This is the internet's one good trait, making people, no matter how high or powerful, stupid enough to release their worst ideas and beliefs. What's changing is that the generation of olds who only believe the TV are dying out to the people who care about what's said on the internet.

Every election, it feels like it does and it makes the news for a couple of days but is almost always forgotten, even when it's memorable (e.g., Palin v Biden). I cannot see a set of circumstances where people will switch their vote from Clinton to Trump or vice versa depending on the results of the VP debate. Completely about entertainment value.

Trump supporters seem like the type to start mass letter writing campaigns, facebook stalking, and general harassment against a news agency that employs an offending journalist enough that a risk-adverse company would reconsider keeping that journalist employed. I'm not convinced that journalists are fearful of their own safety as much as they're fearful of a conservative boycott of their parent company taking place. Conservative viewers are an enormous and lucrative market. Insulting them surely has some economic impact to your bottom line.

After the kid goes to sleep on the couch Boehner and the Mrs sneak off to bed and proceed to make very passionate love. It's the best sex the two of them ever had without Viagra. After their third simultaneous orgasm they start to fall asleep, cuddling each other. John's last though before he falls asleep is of Paul, just sitting in his office on the verge of tears and staring at the wall. John just gives a little "heh"

He says that he would be "stronger" than her, but wouldn't have invaded those countries. How does that work? In the same speech he said he'd "blow [Iranian ships] out of the water" if they tried the provocation they did last week. He's like a kid who thinks he'll ace a standardized test by filling in every bubble.

The reality is a lot more depressing, with it being just a bunch of people desperately hoping that someone else is brave or dumb enough to be the first to speak up and take the punch to the face.
