starting strength has limits to the gains you can milk. at some point you want to do isolation exercises. heavy is probably best for anyone underweight. if you're overweight its just geometrically harder to do lean gains because you are starting not lean. cables @ a gym really pay off after years.

Guess my weight loss was legit, I've still been at 195 the past few days(Was up to 203 about 2-3 weeks ago). Thinking of how much soda and beer I was drinking, I suppose that was about 500-750 calories a day I just randomly cut. I definitely felt a little weaker at the gym, but I was getting a man gunt so no regrets. I'll try to make the deficit a little smaller though.

I figured I would be losing at least a little weight. I've not lost more than 0.5kg, but I've taken a few centimetres off my waist. Just a bit puzzling, I'm not unhappy!

Well, I'm 5'9" or so at 145lb, and somewhere around 12% bodyfat based on measurements. I should see about getting it done with callipers to figure out if I'm completely off.

Same but 199 and 15%. Knowing my luck it's all muscle, despite doing everything correctly. That or I'm just a pessimist and that's once again manifesting to mansplain anything that goes well :shrug:

Theyve been doing this for a while, messi for example had stunted growth but they gave him GH as a teen and now he has a weird center of gravity which helps him be the best soccer player in the world.
