For the folks who enjoy photojournalism, here is a fun recap by the Guardian on the year in photojournalism. Unsuprisingly, there is a significant focus on the European refugee crisis, but the list also includes a number of other, less depressing and interesting photos. http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2015/dec/27/the-best-photographs-of-2015-in-pictures Interestingly, they did not include the photo of Alayn Kurdi that went viral and included a different photo of the same scene from when his body was being recovered.

I follow a few, but can't name their IG accounts off the top of my head. Follow accounts like minimalzine, subjectivelyobjective, etc - they often have photographers post their photos fo a week or they highlight photographers, so you discover that way.
