I think they just use the red bull name for licensing, a small sponsorship and as a means to get the player's access to whatever their point system is. But they're probably as big as local events get. I went to one in Toronto for a Xrd side tournament and had to remind myself to not drink eight free red bulls. It was good. But yeah, I'd imagine it's hugely dependent on who's running it. Ours was like a high tier local event run in a university lecture hall with a million tvs, a giant projector and a stream setup. It was organized by the usual local suspects, so I'd imagine it could vary wildly between cities. Red Bull just chips in a little cash and drinks I think. e: nvm, I'm an idiot, the battleground events are the big ones actually run by Red Bull. I basically never play fighting games purely in FT2's, I just want working lobbies so I can play people for half an hour+ Ranked sucks for several reasons and I think I don't want to play it anymore.
