Well the short version is, the Bone threads were (and often still are) like Lord Of The Flies but with some goons that can't be chill about "suboptimal " gaming experiences or what kind (the wrong kind) of RAM the Bone has for like five seconds and get super mad when they get called out on it and then compared to dancing, predictable puppets. The mods had to do some stuff and now it's just kind of passive aggressive.

I mean, griefing pubbies is one thing, but your fellow goon?

To bring this more on topic, I asked before but is there a unified user population in this game? Can I play with my buddies on other systems? That would be neat.

The superior version of the temporal trait cuts the recharge times on captain powers by a third, so long as you're flying around in reverse.

What's the best gimmick build to use that trait?

I think it's all cooldowns, right? You'd want a really sci-heavy torpedo build I think.

Oh my god reverseship.

Damnit why isn't there a T6 version of that escort with an rear end gun yet.

(realistically, you could probably just broadside driving in reverse with crazy short cooldowns...)

Use the Benthan Assault Cruiser, so you're actually flying forwards.

I still love how the model for that ship is such lovely a half-assed melted plastic 90's cgi turd even the people working on the show didn't know which way it was supposed to fly.

On the show? I thought it was just the STO devs that hosed up. Mainly because it was onscreen for a total of about two seconds.

Congratulations on not getting fit in 2011!
I'm finding the subtraction of Foundry on consoles inexcusable and have reinstalled on PC for the first time in years. Those are like your filler and character development episodes, to put it in Trek terms and a lot of them were really fun. Not to mention that it added hella replay and did things the main story doesn't.

Not every episode of Trek had dudes fighting the Big Bads. Sometimes they had to gently caress with random rear end whales, 18th century Europe, or a writer's self-insert character.

Does the trait also get rid of the power drain that happens after flying backwards for 10 seconds, or did they remove that rather odd mechanic?

Lagomorphic

Power drain for going in reverse is still in the game. The temporal trait does nullify it though.

The concept art/design documents for the ship had it facing one way (the way Cryptic has it, since they were working off those) but when the animators for the show put it in they had it going the other way. :downs: It's such a horrible design.

randombattle posted:

I think the idea was to discourage people from pointing dual cannons towards something while flying in reverse since the slower speed would give you a lot more maneuverability and you wouldn't risk flying past your targets. Of course instead everyone with escorts just learned to instead stop and pretend to be a turret, but hey.
