All I know is until the end and when I played with my n00b friends it placed me with people whom were progressively higher ranked last season from around 50 to 80 and people in the 3200s already this season.

Which seemed to be working as intended... You keep fighting tougher people until you lose and it sorts you out from there right... Did you look at the stats of people in the matches to see where they were at and stuff Bob.
