They didn't really care about Bernie's policies either, it was a cult of personality. They're much more about hating the establishment.

Crossposting from Trump! *click*: Alright, I understand that maybe the first couple of questions would be about her illness and everything related to it, and she should have expected that, to be fair. After that, it's just the media having a circlejerk about it because they know Trump isn't going to answer hardball questions anymore so they're going to have to pick on Clinton. And they wonder why she hates them. That said, I think it's time for some here: https://twitter.com/ZekeJMiller/status/776524528763699200

They're going to keep slamming her on trivia and either bitching about her answers or bitching that she didn't give them enough answers, and the relentless negative coverage will erode her numbers further and further. The election's less than two months away. The press isn't going to swing back to how they covered Trump in June/July.

SubponticatePoster posted:Personally I'm waiting for the first debate. Of course if Donald doesn't poo poo himself on stage or try to throttle her it will be considered a win for him, but kept her composure through an 11-hour bullshit hearing. She's an attorney, even if she hasn't practiced for a long time. Going on the (admittedly large) assumption that the moderator learned something about the Lauer debacle and makes Trump actually answer questions presented to him he's going to be very unhappy. Nah, this weekend changed everything. Trump was always going to win the debates bar literally vomiting on stage or dropping over dead, but Clinton could have at least looked presidential and confident even if the media didn't give her credit for it. Now that they think she's a frail, dying old woman the media is out for blood and will dissect everything from how tightly she held on to the podium to how deep her wrinkles are to how many times she had to clear her throat. If this poo poo doesn't get put to bed quick there's no way the first debate isn't solely devoted to interpreting Clinton's body language and what it means for her health. I'm not an arzy but the debates and SC nomination are two things I can say with near certainty won't go Clinton's way.

Well, but taking the attitude of, "Well, young people just don't vote anyway, so forget about them; they'll grow up someday!", just because of the voting patterns of that 20-whatever percent of them? Not really a wise strategy. There are still millennial voters that Clinton could be getting, and she's hurting in that demographic. It's time to stop courting disaffected Republican voters. Time to get the base out.
