Tonight's haul: Flesh --> gold fade, silver --> gold --> copper fade, and metallic coral --> metallic teal fade. It's been a productive weekend. The third dong came out with an amazing texture. The surface is completely flat, but the way the mica particles aligned makes it look much different.  And a bonus picture of the coral and teal fresh out of the vacuum chamber:  What's that pink smear? Well, there was a stalactite growing from the vacuum chamber lid. I cut it down and sliced it in half.

Here's today's puntl:   I expect I'll be done making these by the middle of next week at the latest. At that point, I'll leave the thread open at least another week or two for any subsequent questions or feedback. I am glad that this has been a successful goon project, even if it's a relatively small one! Looks like overall I spent about $1100 to make all these dongs and the molds, but only took in about $900 since I made the molds and a couple flops for free. I probably should've charged $25 instead of $20, then I'd have broken even.

The economics of this hobby/business are interesting to me. Many of my questions about that stuff were answered in a previous post. OP, did you ever try marketing your creations to local sex toy shops? You mentioned the low quality of some of the ones found in many shops and I wonder if some shop owners would be interested in offering hand made toys made from high quality silicone. One last question: Around how much would you charge for making a custom toy like this one for someone that approached you via Tumblr? For the custom design, I had plenty of people approach on Tumblr and ask, enough that I put it as a link on my homepage. Take the maximum dimensions of the toy (width and height) in centimeters. Add 1cm to the height and 2cm to the width. Determine the volume of the cylinder needed to contain your toy (aka the mold) via the equation B*H, where H is the height and B is W^2 * pi / 4. That will give you the volume of clay and silicone needed to make the model and mold, in cc. Multiply that volume by $0.26/cc ($26/L), which is the cost of silicone. That's all I charged. For a toy this size, let me measure... height is 20cm, width is 15cm including overhang. So the volume is 21 * 16^2 * pi / 4, or about 4.2L. That comes out to $109 which covers the model + mold. The dong itself would be an additional $25 or so, so the total would have been ~$135 for the first puntl. In the event, I managed to squeeze the mold into an oblong and saved myself a liter or two, so it didn't cost me $109, more like $75.
