Passimian and Oranguru are great. I still can't get over how Rockruff and its evos are rock-type. It just doesn't follow. Like did they think of the names first and just decide to run with the conceit?

Oh definitely, I just expect some degree of thematic consistency. Like the prehistoric Pokemon all being rock-type because they were revived from fossils despite not literally being made of rock. I just see nothing that ties Rockruff to its rock typing.

There better be a ton of ingame doubles battles this time around. Always seemed weird that they try and push doubles as the True Competitive Format and haven't given us very many opportunities to do it in the game. Was it Emerald that really pushed it? I remember liking that a lot, especially since they were usually optional based on how you approached the NPC. Also wise old orang is my new best friend.

Doubles are the best format because it opens up so much more interactions between moves, pokemon, and abilities, and gives pokemon that would otherwise be trash a chance to shine. Singles are for boring losers.

Eevee's. Z-move is almost flashy enough for me to consider using an Eevee rather than evolve it as soon as possible. Also Passimian is the best monkey yet.

Man, on the one hand I was set on Moon for the 12 hour offset thing (I have a 9 to 5 job and a commute, and I kinda hate playing in nighttime settings). On the other, some of these exclusives (Musciqto, Passimian) are making it real hard. I wonder how many nerds shat themselves laughing over naming their Orangurus 'Harambe'
