as a car driver i am happiest taking public transportation and also when not driving. i was told LA had terrible public transit and if you used any of it you would get shot and raped, and i was super happy to find out that is a total and complete lie and I can get from pasadena to the loving santa monica beach on the same train for $1.75

I used to think a car was just a way of getting from point "A" to point "B"- and on weekends point "C." But that was the old me. That man died the moment I laid eyes on the 1979 Honda Accord.

turbos are cool and all but my work vehicle is a turbodiesel with hella short gears. this makes taking off from a stop smoothly drat near impossible since it's 1-2 seconds of lag, big turbo push, SHIFT!

She wrecked a grand prix so he replaced it with a supercharged grand prix. anyways turn off TC and you could have some good torque steering good times with it, it wasn't too slow really. Built like loving poo poo though, thing was dead with blown intake gaskets and dead transmission at ninety thousand miles. Fuckin' scrap.

is this the new transit thread? Austin has one commuter rail line and everything for else you are going to have to take a bus, drive or ride a bike. there have been a couple bond votes for light rail in recent years but none of them have passed because people in the suburbs hate the idea of a thing that doesn't serve them and they vote against it any chance they get. so the logical next step is for them to take it to the regional metropolitan planning organization, (CAMPO) where you don't need a bond vote because it is a state board with 7 members and the budget to actually get poo poo done. recently CAMPO has been doing nothing but building toll roads. BUT. instead of having CAMPO work on some kind of light rail proposal, they're considering cable cars.
