Don't you just hate when you wind up in a store with people who are in a socioeconomic class that is pretty obviously about two levels lower than your own?
yeah I expect the Maybach people were like "sir, when can we expect your driver to pick up your car?" and they were like "huh?"

we're uh about 1/2 mile from the interstate and i hear it spin up from an occasional 18-wheeler woosh around 4:30 am to this threatening siren-flecked rumble at 6am. It's now 6:30 and i'm laughing thinking about trying to get across town at the moment. Sad fuckers

i was told LA had terrible public transit and if you used any of it you would get shot and raped, and i was super happy to find out that is a total and complete lie and I can get from pasadena to the loving santa monica beach on the same train for $1.75

the age of the v8 is over, at least in cars. we can get so much performance from six cylinders that there's no point.

Ugh.

You're pretty right even with NA tho. still tho its all about torque, stupid, adolescent, offensive, AMG level torque, and you cannot get that without 8 or 12

turbos are cool and all but my work vehicle is a turbodiesel with hella short gears. this makes taking off from a stop smoothly drat near impossible since it's 1-2 seconds of lag, big turbo push, SHIFT!

I walk to work in <5 min. It's a lot cheaper than cycling and I don't need to schlep a bicycle around. Not to mention it's safer and also legal to do while drunk. Looks like you got poo poo on buddy. Seems to me that you've made a dire miscalculation. gently caress off.

yeah. we had this garbage 2005 (?) grand prix GTP, with the 3.8 supercharged, basically my father in law is addicted to lovely GMs and he kept buying his daughter weird ones. She wrecked a grand prix so he replaced it with a supercharged grand prix.

anyways turn off TC and you could have some good torque steering good times with it, it wasn't too slow really. Built like loving poo poo though, thing was dead with blown intake gaskets and dead transmission at ninety thousand miles. Fuckin' scrap.

is this the new transit thread?

Austin has one commuter rail line and everything for else you are going to have to take a bus, drive or ride a bike. there have been a couple bond votes for light rail in recent years but none of them have passed because people in the suburbs hate the idea of a thing that doesn't serve them and they vote against it any chance they get. so the logical next step is for them to take it to the regional metropolitan planning organization, (CAMPO) where you don't need a bond vote because it is a state board with 7 members and the budget to actually get poo poo done. recently CAMPO has been doing nothing but building toll roads.

BUT. instead of having CAMPO work on some kind of light rail proposal, they're considering cable cars.
