I'm far more inclined to believe that Day, at least, is deliberately keeping Mina flustered to enhance her interrogation. I guess I just like the idea of Day using love as a weapon in this as well as the more literal sense earlier.

Gives the characters a bit more depth. Day can tell Zarei's consulting her spirit, right? That seems like the sort of thing Spectrals would be experienced in noticing.

I'm guessing those guys are the corrupted humans, but this isn't really based on much, just pure narrative conservation at this point really. I think there's at least three villain factions running around at this point, and at the speed things are moving I don't think the comic can really handle more.

The one or two pictures we've seen of the Cousinhood don't make them look much like that, and they seem to be the type to just kill spirit monsters rather than using them as minions, like the dogs. My current theory is that Mr. Garcia is the Cousinhood's representative in Mayview, because he looks similarly disheveled and outdoorsy to the pictures we have seen, and also because we know he's a weird dude and something's not quite right about him.
