I don't think the fptp two party system is ever going away and I think we're pretty much hosed. At least maybe clinton will appoint a liberal supreme court and that will positively change society. But yeah even if she wins and the dems get the congress back I don't have high hopes for anything changing. The Republican agenda and Donald trump are certainly scarier, but not by that much. I guess the fptp system really is the root cause of the government being corporate dominated and totally unrepresentative. Because as a progressive socialist, I am being held hostage by the democrats and have to vote for them to keep them in power so they can do nothing and keep the even more pro business Republican hordes at bay. Man the constitution is some stupid bullshit who wrote that poo poo? It seems so obvious that things would end up like this with first past the post voting. man.
