Is your reasoning in another thread? I haven't seen anything in this thread about why you think this way. Can you point me to it?

In real talk, I wonder if this debate had any influence whatsoever on undecided voters. We know Trump didnt lose any of his regulars. Would Hillary's grandma quips have changed any minds of people in the middle?

I think there is a (valid) distaste for bigotry that gets conflated with it being nonexistant. He's the first candidate in a long time that is speaking to a huge segment of voters. He's not loving up when he's saying this stuff. he's speaking to a huge (and awful) segment of america. Very directly in a way people haven't for a long time.

Most Australian political pundits are giving the win to Hillary but were also in agreeance that Trump clearly won the first 20 minutes or so which is meant to be the most important period of the debate.

The thing about Trumps composure: even if he stayed calm for the whole time that doesnt give him more preparation or policy positions. Instead of rambling angry answers, we would have had calm rambling Sarah Palin esque answers.

Great to know that you're willing to gently caress over minorities for a laugh.

Trump needed to show that he could act like a competent adult to maybe get people to overlook what a horrible human being he is and sway them his side.

He really didn't do that, between talking over the moderator, yelling at the moderator, and bad mouthing the moderator when he tried to do his job and point out that he was past his two minutes, talking over Hillary, freaking out whenever a (true, fact checking it myself) point was made regarding his lovely conduct and history, and generally just being how I figured he'd be.

Gonna say that Hillary is the better candidate if I was to judge that debate. But that's because she actually conducted herself with a bit of decency and forethought instead of flying off the handle any time someone pointed out any potential character flaws.

The only major point Trump is willing to address is the economy and foreign relations as they relate to monetary subjects. If he were campaigning for Secretary of the Treasury this would be great but he's campaigning for the POTUS. I think that when it comes to monetary concerns, he would probably make a better president than Hillary Clinton. I think that in almost all other major concerns, Hillary would be the better president.

I honestly think that Trump doesn't really understand the concept of money. Or of numbers for that matter. He was all over the place during the debate with numbers and it was completely nonsensical.
