Doc Block posted:optical image stabilization. means you can have longer exposure times in low light, which means the gain doesn't have to be bumped up as much, which means less noise. the 6s+ has optical image stabilization. they might have taken advantage of the dual sensors to do some noise removal. you wouldn't be able to do the whole image because the two cameras have different focal length, but you can really really help with low light with two sensors because it makes it super easy to tell what is random noise and what is actually part of the image when the random parts are the only thing different between the two images.
