Why would you use an obvious back-formation like "incent" when there are so many synonyms that already exist in common usage. I'll get mad at anything (apparently) but drat "Dilbert" sucks.

It would be hilarious if The Phantom started just being about Heloise and Kadia at school having a good time and Judge Parker killed off Sophie, somehow leading to Sam becoming some kind of crime-fighting vigilante.

"I'll talk to Brad and see what he says, but it's really not up to me. I hope there's no hard feelings if it doesn't work out." There. You let him down without being unbelievably cruel to the lovelorn idiot who's put in a great deal of time, effort, and possibly money helping you out for free.

And to think Tiff is supposed to be the shallow selfish one we don't like.

quote:

I’m sorry but that’s flaky of Luann. To have Gunther make your dress and then him not getting invited? You know it’s your brother’s wedding and you know Toni doesn’t really know Gunther or Bernie. Maybe Luann should have brought her dress instead of having Gunther do it. And this is why I don’t like Luann, it feels like she’s using Gunther. And now Greg and Karen will figure out some way to invite Gunther and Bernie. I’ll be so glad when this arc is over with.

Luann… is a heal!

Why is it that the women in Gunther’s life just don’t care about Gunther when it comes to THEIR personal inconvenience? Luann, Bernice, his mom, they’re all self-centered and oblivious to Gunther’s feelings. As others have stated, Luann COULD invite Gunther as her “+1” or even ask Toni and Brad to invite him considering what he has done, but NOOOooooo…

And now that Gunther has served his purpose, he can safely be shuffled away and forgotten once again. I've had friends who treated me like that. It's why I speak of them in the past tense now. There are definitely a few people in this strip who would benefit from dropping Luann as a friend. (A few more, anyway. Delta already did, and Luann hasn't even noticed. Always the mark of a friend well worth defriending.)
