Someone pointed out to me that this perfectly explains the charity thing - he has people donate to his charity instead of paying him because he can't take the charitable deduction when he's already paying no taxes. I'm not sure I buy that angle (because wouldn't that let him save more losses to carry-forward for a future year?), but it's interesting how it fits together.Endorph posted:There's no way this isn't legit. He said himself that he dodges taxes, and the way he dodges them is the only way that makes sense and the timeline adds up. Well and like everyone remembers him losing a shitload of money that year with the casinos thing.

If this was an oppo research dump can you imagine the internal grin Hillary had when she heard him say "that's good business" knowing that the NYT was in possession of this document? Hillary's campaign HQ is in NYC too

Haha, I know his former accountant is retired, so it's not like talking about this is damaging to him, but it's still funny that he's eager to just burn Trump on this. If he hadn't confirmed it so forcefully, the NYT might not have been able to run it.

So, question. It was mentioned on the first few pages (and by PJ in pasts threads) that Trump may try to start poo poo after he loses. From what I understand, PJ's model has him losing hard and inciting sporadic but short lived violence. What happens if the election is like, really close. Does this give him more leverage to start something?

Imagine how hard it must suck to be sitting on all his tax retuns and be unable to release them legally Like, if I were that dude be talked to by the Times, I would have been like "I cannot show you Mr. Trump's returns which are in that unlocked file cabinet over there, now if you excuse me, I will be in the other room for five minutes making coffee and will not be able to see or hear anything happening in this room"
