So he owes his own corporation the money to begin with. I think that's what I was missing.

i think that if tim kaine does what we expect him to and just curbstomps mike pence for 90 minutes, because mike pence is a colossal piece of human garbage, that trump might back out of the other two debates. there's virtually no reasonable way out of this one because it has to do with economic policy and goes completely against his campaign message which was the one thing appealing to his base, aside from the blatant racism. pence is gonna get hit on it during the debate as well, most likely, so it's just a double whammy of it all being nationally televised. it's better to just let it go and not have it brought up during the other presidential debates and hope that it somehow fades from the limelight than keep reminding people of it when 80+ million people are watching.

imagine that yr mom wants to give you $100 but can't because yr stepdad monitors the finances too closely and wouldn't approve so she lends you $105 instead and you give her an iou she turns around and sells the iou to yr dog for $5, which you have given to the dog yr stepdad doesn't check the dogs finances so doesn't notice/care that the dog aint collecting, and you don't owe yr mom anything but you still got $100 clean out of the deal

I probably would have voted for Kasich over Hillary if he was the nominee. I know he has significant drawbacks but more than I want him to be president, I want someone like Kasich to be the leader of the Republican party. After Trump loses then that role is going to default back to Rush Limbaugh and nothing changes.

BlueberryCanary posted:Is there any truth to the idea that wikileaks is going to release *something* that might make Hillary look bad, or is it pure hearsay and wishful thinking? the answer is because they do not have anything. there is nothing for them to have. for MONTHS now, at times when trump fuckups are in the news, wikileaks comes out and says "WE HAVE A NEW BATCH OF HILLARY CRIMES. WE WILL RELEASE THEM SOON." then news outlets release stories with the headline "WIKILEAKS TO RELEASE NEW INFORMATION ON HILLARY CLINTON." then they don't release poo poo and no one cares. the announcement is the point, because it keeps "HILLARY IS A CORRUPT LIAR WHO USES EMAILS" in the news despite there being zero actual reason for it to be. wikileaks came out last night and said they'd release stuff in the future because the announcement is the news, not the content, of which there is none.

'most electable 2016 republican candidate' is some 'worlds tallest midget' poo poo loving loling at the republican's 'deep bench' of candidates that included such luminaries as scott walker and jeb bush. mccain would have slaughtered that batch of fumbling incompetents without breaking a sweat. of course it didn't help that anti-establishment sentiment, both in the republican electorate and the public at large, is and was so strong that ted cruz, a living effigy of human repugnance, was the runner-up
