Are you sure this event won't change his standing? he top 8's this and gets 15 whatever points for the whatever SCG uses for its top ten. if he doesn't get those points someone else gets them, then he's off the top ten, loses appearance fee's, doesn't lock an invitational slot at the end of the season, loses out on money because of it. I'm not saying I agree with his decision to play while sick, I am saying that I can see how he made the decision.

Boy I'll tell you, I'm sick! Of all this bellyaching!  Does anyone else use xMage for playtesting and whatnot? I've been doing some of that lately to try and test out some decks before I buy them, but I'm mostly just loving around against the CPU because I dread going against actual humans willing to rage over fake representations of digital cardboard. Other than that people just concede the second the game goes south for them, most if the time. So overall I haven't had a bad experience with playing real people. Though it would be cool to get a goon platter group together.
