Badfinger posted:I'm with you completely. I'm not going to necessarily dunk on officials who made a mistake on the field, but this was an absolute easy error to fix, the system is in place to automatically fix it, and they not only didn't fix it the league is showing contempt to people that are suggesting they didn't get it right. I could understand if a Redskin had fallen on the ball in a visible way before the pile started and then calling the possession based on that, but it was a scrum from the getgo and I have literally never in my life seen possession called in that situation without first at least finding the drat ball The fact that the rules call for the need for clear recovery on replay should just make it even more important for the refs to not rush the call before they know who actually has the ball Brannock posted:You shouldn't because Ballghazi is silly and trumped up, no matter how much you hate Tom Brady. It's also true that they actually did it (although maybe not effectively in that particular game) thinking it would matter. I would like to know what the numbers were for all the games last year when the NFL measured. It's pretty obvious why they refuse to share that info.

Cupping works. It works better if you use a lubricant and slide them, though. It's like a massage but a lot more effective (hurts though). Dry needling works too, FYI. They took the mild benefits from acupuncture and cupping, added science, and made them super effective.

forcing blood flow to muscles improves their recovery. There are ways to do it that don't involve having massive red spots on your skin though.

"Some Scientist posted:In conclusion, this overview of SRs suggests that cupping may be effective for reducing pain. The evidence is insufficient for other indications. All SRs are based on primary studies with a high risk of bias. Therefore, considerable uncertainty remains about the therapeutic value of cupping. Cupping suffers from being hard to study because you can't have a placebo or a blind testing process. The quick googling I've done (term was 'science of cupping') leads me to believe there is some pain reduction in the short term or immediately following treatment, but nothing is conclusive.

There are no 'toxins' that get pulled out, which is the traditional Chinese medicine claim that people attack when they dismiss it. It's not going to improve your chi, just loosen you up a lot. Also hurt, like foam rolling and a deep massage. I'm just saying it's a legitimate and effective tool in bodywork. When looked at from a functional point of view (again, talking only about the sliding cups and not the burning ones) it operates in much the same way as other methods.

Thought maybe you guys might appreciate this. So Greg Bedard is on Boston Sports radio on Tuesdays, and they asked the question, "Who's the worst fans in the NFL?" He said Patriots fans. I sent him a tweet in appreciation of this fact. In my head, I was thinking "Some loving pathetic homer is going to get snippy about this." Less than a half hour later, the Platonic Form of Bad Patriots Fan butts in. It was so perfect, so beyond everything I could have hoped. Should have sent a poet. gently caress Patriots Fans.
