Based off that, I'm predicting a Gargano/Ciampa vs. Team Aries final. Authors of Pain vs. Revival would be too weird, and I don't see them giving the Authors' first loss to Swann & Jose.

Do you really think he could have gotten over with the "Gavin Spears" gimmick? If the writing had backed him up, he would have been more. That's what I mean by "squandered". He's being squandered like anyone the writers don't care enough about to write stories for.

looking forward to possibly seeing the Authors of Pain get hosed up by the Revival. two big monsters getting clowned by the smallest dumpiest tag team would own but I'm guessing GarCiamp will get the pleasure instead. kind of a shame that Sanity is going against Glorious 10 and will be hosed up fairly early.

Glorious Perfection is a face / heel team so they're going to split up at the slightest pressure (probably Tye taking the pin when Roode doesn't help him). But it's hard to imagine Sanity being put over Itami / Nakamura, especially when there are already four tag teams getting pushed.

That's assuming that Sanity is going to debut without doing some shenanigans, like loving around with other wrestlers and getting themselves DQed on purpose. There's no way to tell until it happens.

Looking at the bracket... the first round feels really predictable. Off the top of my head, I would go with almost every single pairing that's listed on top. I can see Dillinger and Roode losing to start a singles feud with each other, and it makes sense to push Sanity if they are indeed making their debut. And we need at least one team to implode and end their match by brawling with each other.

Tournament also looks like another quick way to give DIY a win over The Revival without the titles on the line. What was the final last year? For the life of me I can't remember who Joe and Balor beat now, only being disappointed at the quarter final losses. Was it Rhino and someone?
