It wasn't amazing, but it was solid, and surpassed Family Guy in every way. It also had the added benefit of bringing some diversity to prime time animation (Because Seth McFarlane's next attempt at it, Bordertown, was godawful) TBS should have picked up Cleveland Show, which it still shows in syndication, for new episodes instead of producing garbage like "Clipped" and "Ground Floor" and we'd all be the better for it.

The Cleveland Show is the best of the Macfarlane shows imo. Family Guy has its obvious problems, and 3/4ths of American Dad episodes are the same plot of Roger betraying the family despite being well written overall. I think if it had come before American Dad people would have more respect for it.

Family Guy seems to have a mix of episodes that take their plot seriously, and others where it doesn't. Cleveland Show is very story driven. South Park this season and last season is very story driven and it's really working. The correct hierarchy is of Seth McFarlane shows is: American Dad>>>Cleveland Show>>>Family Guy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bordertown.

The only difference is Mort and his son replace Cleveland and his son.

Cleveland Show was awful. I'm a huge MacFarlane fan so I forced myself to watch it all on Netflix eventually but I think the only laugh out loud moment I had for the entire series was when Cleveland's mustache gets shaved and his voice changes. American Dad! is clearly the best, mainly because of Roger. The ability to have a familiar character play 1000 different roles in the same show is just brilliant.

I just rewatched this season and I'm finding it funnier and funnier. The idea that Cartman will be the only boy in school with a girlfriend while not having a meaningful way to brag about it is hilarious to me.
