Jimmy's father was a world war 1 vet. Jimmy served in Korea. Hes a good old boy from Tennessee. Of course hes ordered everyone to stand. Good on him. Hes the boss he sets the rules. Free speech doesn't extend to the work place in most other jobs either.

That's a great idea: Give any player good enough to get on to a competent football team the easiest way out of his contract imaginable.

Free Speech rights definitely do not protect you from private citizens, only the government

of course, that also means that a pro team, such as the Cleveland Browns, would not be protected from their speech leading me to say 'u suck, gently caress u!'

People like to pick and choose when it applies...they also seem to think that freedom of speech means freedom of consequence too.

It happens everywhere that has freedom of speech...not jus the US.

Robert Kraft went into the locker room after practice yesterday. He looked around at the young men and addressed them as a group. "Regardless of your personal morals, you WILL win this game." Robert waited a second and made eye contact with several players to make sure his words had sunk in. He knew he had their undivided attention and proceeded. "You gentlemen have free will, but you also have a sub-miniature explosive device implanted in your carotid arteries. You will win whatever it takes because you know that everyone you care about also has explosives in their arteries." Then his inner fire started to shine through as he said quietly “but most of all, I want you to remember that we have robotic clones of each of you and you are replaceable."

Why doesn't anybody get mad at owners for not ceasing concession sales during the anthem

Ask me about how my football team's success determines my self worth, and how I wish I lived in New Orleans.
Supreme Court judges can't have opinions?

Also, when judges enter the courtroom everyone is instructed to "all rise" so maybe judges just like seeing people standing :v:

Old white lady who is supposed to hold up Constitutional rights calls a black guy ignorant for exercising his rights. That's bad, bad optics.

Given her job she probably should have chosen better phrasing. "I disagree with what he is doing but it is his Constitutional right to do so." Calling someone stupid and ignorant when there's a nonzero chance something related to this ends up in her lap is poor judgement (nailed it) on her part.
