If Beerus is capable of erasing things from existence regardless of timeline or whatever and the only thing that stopped it happening to Black/Zamasu is the time ring, couldn't Beerus just sort of do that to the time machine itself so that it never actually exists at all so it can't ever be used at any point in the past, present or future, it just isn't a thing. I don't even want to try and figure out the implications of that though.

I think he'd need to erase Bulma for that. If there's no time machine, Trunks' timeline still happens, and Trunks' timeline leads to the invention of the time machine. Unless that erasure means the CONCEPT of the time machine is gone, I suppose, then it's Bad End Trunks Timeline which eventually gets visited by immortal Zamasu if the job ain't done by then.

I thought I knew how Black existing worked before I read the thread and now I don't know what to believe anymore. Doesn't Black exist because Trunks and co. used the time machine to find out Zamasu was working with him and warn Beerus? Like how warning about the androids didn't change the future, Black's timeline would've still existed right up until Beerus destroyed him. Then time ring shenanigans, etc, etc. I'm glad Goku's heart disease at least got a passing mention. I was hoping things would be the other way around and Black got the heart disease Goku body and died from that again, but this works too.

They basically killed everyone in Universe Upper Management. It will give some context to the next story arc when we see wtf Zeno actually does.

I started watching GT for the first time on Hulu recently. It's certainly a trip. It's like a slightly more messed up, and more dire Dragon Ball so far. Yeah, there's all sorts of ~*wacky*~ antics, but in the back of your brain, you can't help but think about how the loving Earth will blow up if these dips don't stop goofing around. Why do they keep goofing around? Also, we've got all of the loving characters from Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, and we're just focusing on Pan (stereotypical idiot kiddo), Trunks (weirdly competent, but still completely useless), and new kid Goku (boring punch kid). What were they thinking?
