I don't know if it's still available but if you preorder a pixel from the google store you get a free vr headset.

The Pixel apps will be uninstallable because they are being installed from the Play Store upon activation using Android's built in functionality to do so rather than having them baked into the ROM.

Thinking of switching our two lines to Verizon from Tmobile and have a few questions. 1) My wife's phone is a iPhone 6 plus. She had the screen replaced from a non-apple store and has dropped it some more. The screen is cracked AND coming up off the frame of the phone but otherwise works fine. Would Verizon accept it for a trade in or should we get the screen repaired first? I read somewhere they won't take iPhone's that have had 3rd party screen repairs. 2) We want to get a Pixel and an iPhone. Is it possible to pre-order the pixel (to get the free daydream vr) with the iPhone, or what is the best way to go about that?

Update on my iPhone 6 trade in fiasco: I eventually called my local Verizon store, because corporate customer service and social media just weren't getting anything done, and basically just telling me to wait and see if the price gets correct. The local rep looked up my info, and saw the reason the trade-in price was different was because the IMEI number did not match what they were expecting, as my phone as replaced at the Apple store the previous month. After about five minutes on hold, the rep took care of the issue by submitting a Trade-In Correction form. So just a heads up: if you replaced your phone and took advantage of the $650 trade in deal, you may have issues.

Assuming we get the phone fixed and go to Verizon, would both lines qualify for the pay to switch program since our lines would activate at different times and have two final bills?

The t-shirt plans are all two-year contracts, yeah? I'm thinking of starting a 12 plan, four lines total. I have two Pixels coming in from Google direct; I'm porting two T-Mobile numbers to those. I have two Verizon-branded phones I got off swappa that I am putting one new line on, and porting one line from a Tracfone to. I should probably do this all in-store to make sure everything is copacetic before I leave, yeah? What documentation will I need for the ports? Will I need to do anything with the Pixels before bringing them in to make sure they can get activated correctly? Where exactly does the carryover data "start?" - if I use 15GB on the plan, will I carry over 5GB automatically, or does it pull from the 12 before the extra 2GB/line so I'd end up with 0 carryover? Thanks!

FWIW I loathe iOS as well and the Nexus 6P is a great bigphone that works on Verizon. And it doesn't explode! But I actually have a question about Verizon: I'm currently on Project Fi and it's been decent, but I still get deadzones here and there and I was thinking of going to Verizon. I don't use a lot of data so I'm confident I wouldn't go over 2 GB a month, so is there any reason not to do the prepaid? If I'm understanding correctly, the regular plan would be $55 a month while the prepaid is $45. Is there something else about the regular plan I'm missing?

Anybody know how to uninstall Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant on OSX? No uninstaller, and the program doesn't appear in my Applications folder. So, Verizon clearly wanted to make this thing a pain in the rear end to remove and when I contacted Verizon via Twitter customer support, I was instructed to contact loving APPLE. I wish they could just tell me they're being pieces of poo poo and loving me on this instead of talking past the fact that this is their software and not taking responsibility for it.

For what it's worth - I love my 6p and would recommend it. In theory, with the Pixels coming out one could get a 6p at a fire sale price. I'm not anti-Apple and see the virtues of both it and the Android OS.
