So a lot of times CCP doesn't give a poo poo unless it fucks with their bottom line. With the introduction of skill extractors people can hack accounts, strip them clean of SP and rmt the money. As a scammer most people I encountered were loving poor so hacking accounts would be a total crap shoot if you're looking for isk and assets but now almost every account will have some value. Reversing this takes a lot of work as (I think) CCP have been choosing to do somewhat in depth transaction reversals if possible instead of simply doing negative wallets but leaving other transactions untouched. So while normally CCP doesn't usually crack down on RMT that hard, I think the recent increase in hacked accounts meant they went to work on RMT with a loving sledgehammer. While the casinos did generate a war, the RMT has caused a huge workload increase for the GMs and was the cause of the new supposedly more secure client. I don't think that's the entire reason but I think the account hacking RMT is one of them.

So rather than drag people down around me who just wanted to have fun, I peaced out. As a company though, they're beyond terrible.

Is it bad that I assume people's reliance on an NDA is a smokescreen? I mean unless someone's revealing some heinous trade secrets and CCP managed to defy their corporate track record and somehow draft a competent and enforceable NDA... I just don't ever think that's the case.

Virtually all of our allies had a blackops wing, and through y'know talking to the pubbies like they weren't garbage we managed to get a fair number of them in Topgoon. Hell bokops (The really proficient hot dropping wing of fweddit) got their start by basically working with us. On top of that as far as I know I was the only squad leader type that engaged allied CEO's in regards to participation problems, usually getting waivers so they could be deployed with us w/o being poo poo on by their CEO's for not showing up for a POS shot across the galaxy. I'm not terribly surprised a lot of these dudes weren't integrating when we pushed a heavy metrics system on them that said "Thou must be at the pos shot lest ye be found unworthy" which then trickled downward into activity rules placed on individual members. That's literally what prompted me into talking to people by the way. A few SMA dudes were getting picked on by their leadership about non participation in "Peacetime" strategic poo poo while pretty much every squad was deployed elsewhere. As an aside this is why I still say that during non war declaired periods squad paps should be given a weighting on the strategic scale (Even if it's a heavily penalized weight) because keeping people logging in during boring periods is absolutely a service. EDIT: Or better yet the entire squad/sig system should be scrapped and rebuilt because the waters are murky what with Incursion Swarm being a sig, and blackops being downgraded to "Holesquad lite".
