As can be seen from the majority of posters on here, having political variety is a bad thing, and anti-fash is some extension of law and order, not some group of thugs with self justified leftist ideology.

The whole purpose of having democracy and free speech is to allow the full spectrum of opinions to be heard and the weakness of authoritarian arguments will be inherently diminished as a result.

What it sounds like a lot of rear end hats on here want is a unified leftist only opinion to prevail, so you're not really interested in democracy your interested in your own limited understanding of freedom, or the free exchange of ideas as long as it agrees with your spectrum.

I can entertain an idea without believing in it, because the flaws of racism or socialism (for that matter) are obvious once you read accounts of people living under either of those circumstances.

But a republican office has as much of a right to remain unmolested as a planned parenthood.

And its great to see dems/libs on here crying for hillary to stand up to russia when those same people calling for her to confront russia would never invest themselves in the defense of their own country. They prefer to throw the people they've been calling deplorable into the fray.

That's whats nice about dehumanising anyone, as the dems/liberals on this thread are doing wuth trump supporters, you dont see them as human so you're loving glad for more global conflict.

That's the loving bullshit of liberals always able to whiff the lovelyness of their own poo poo because you know some kid who grew up in the countrry and has more conservative opinions than you is going to fight your fights.

Well liberals generally aren't as pro-war as conservative and I for one don't want a pointless war with Russia or China, as cool as Battlefield 2 is.

There's nothing that says people can't make group decisions in anarchy, merely that nobody is going to enforce them, you do it all the time with people in groups, you don't need someone in charge to come to an agreement always.

Also you could make the argument that individual autonomy is also rule by the people, just not of other people.

Right but in a democracy they are enforced. That's what the "cracy" part means.

Democracy is an incredibly precious, amazing thing. In a rational, positivist age it stands out as real because we choose to believe it's real. It's a hat trick, it's Wile E Coyote staying in the air because he isn't looking down, it's the greatest experiment ever undertaken. We were the first to do it in the modern era, and though we've occasionally faltered, unlike most other nations we've never lost it completely.

Actually reading back at this I feel compelled to say bugger off, America was not the first country to do democracy in the modern age.

Other than the Corsican Republic it might be if you have a strict enough definition of democracy. And let's face it, the Corsican Republic is a footnote that I mostly didn't mention for rhetorical purposes. Politifact rates my claim half true.

Not at all!

I'm firmly against political violence and for democracy in democratic systems. The world stage is not a democratic system and cannot be a democratic system due to the fact that it's inherently and fundamentally anarchic. Even constructivists agree on this matter.

Given the constraints of an anarchic system in which states are the primary actors, Hegemony and Unipolarity are the most beneficial models of State power for all actors.

Also worth mentioning that democracy and majoritarianism are not the same thing. Gotta reference my boy Mill on this one.
