Ciaphas posted:I did not know that spiders that can craft web balloons and fly are a thing and my life is significantly worsened for that knowledge Personally I have a working peace treaty with spiders in my home. The rule is that they have to stay in the basement. If one breaks this rule (and I don't blame them, I haven't posted a sign or anything) then I relocate them. Outside if the weather is warm, and into the basement if it's winter. This works better than you'd think and I rarely find spiders in the upper part of the house. The basement looks like something out of a horror movie. I never kill spiders. If there's ever a nuclear incident and the spiders mutate into the size of cars I'll probably be allowed to live.

Here is what the name water bugs refers to in Virginia: They're "true bugs." That means their wings form a distinctive triangle shape on their back, and that they have hollow, sword-like mouthparts used to suck juices out of things. Unlike stink bugs and aphids, water bugs are carnivores. I'm told their bite is extremely painful. Blue Footed Booby fucked around with this message at 21:54 on Oct 18, 2016 |
