Although to be fair my impression was Brevik's main sin was being hilariously bad at organization so if they keep him as an ideas guy they can limit the damage. On the other hand his ideas weren't thaaat great either

I am 100% okay with 40 dollar wings. GGG is a fantastic company and so long as those wings never affect gameplay, which they never will, that's okay by me. Gotta finance this poo poo somehow. I have gore wings I got in a mystery box. I don't like them!

I have the lightning scorpion pet... somewhere. Maybe in an old hideout or on another character. It was totally worth it. But only because GGG had a promo with NVIDIA a couple years ago that gave several hundred points with gfx cards which people were selling for <£10. And you could activate it 4 or 5 times. I came back to this game after a year plus break and the Currency tab is such an amazing user experience improvement that I would probably pay $40 just for that. On the other hand I hate the labyrinth so much I'll probably take another year long break after this league ends to see if they untie ascendancies from it at some point.

They'll pretty much have to now that they promised that when act 5 is released there will only be 2 difficulties. So you'll have one less lab per character to run, and one less set of trials per league.

I often complain about how the game is getting easier, but I actually think uberlab is a bit too hard. Especially on HC, it's extremely punishing for the average player who wants their final two points. You cant leave because you'll lose your map so it ends up being a game of chicken where you are encouraged to play very recklessly. The anti-moveskill traps and some izaro configurations are just extremely hard to deal with for a lot of builds. I think they should probably make 1-key runs quite a bit easier, while keeping full key runs more difficult.

I think I remember a stat that said the average player doesn't progress past normal Brutus. I just think it's too hard when I generally don't even consider running for the final two points until around lvl90, unless I'm on a super-tanky regen build.

What starts as a ridiculously slow slog becomes insanely fast after you factor in ~35% increased placement speed from the tree, ~50% increased placement speed from a tremor rod, 20% increased from the ascendancy, 100% more arming speed, and instant detonation. And it should be triggering three at once with each placement because of minefield. Mines are garbage when unsupported, but these won't be. The slowest thing will be the totem placement, and I can always press D or set detonate mines on a min level CWDT for when I have to beat feat. Take a look at the original build's placement speed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44_YoN7GCdo and he's on a trickster without all those mentioned bonuses. He doesn't make it look all that great, but it's illustrative of the general speed you can achieve with mine placement. My biggest concern is mana sustain. These are going to be expensive rear end mines that can be dropped very fast, and I don't know that I've built in enough to accommodate that. I'm wondering if anyone has any gear ideas that would help here. I'm sure some uniques out there would synergize with this insanity.

It's reasonable to not enjoy when a company treats you as a bag of cash. What bugs me are the people who get super defensive about lovely things a company does. But it's free to play they say! It's only cosmetics! It's just an arg! Lol look ar reddit so mad about video games so beneath me. What a load of crap, cosmetics should be priced at a point where the majority of players don't feel ripped off. I may want to support a company but I'm not spending 50 bucks on dong.

I do think some of their pricing models are funky in that they leave you with leftover coins you can't spend, but that's really it. They can charge 20 bucks for a non-combat pet or a black hole vortex or whatever all day. I can't justify spending that, but plenty of people can and that's okay with me. I just wish they'd allow you to buy them directly rather than making you buy funbux. I for sure want black holes everywhere, but I don't want anything else and can't buy just that.

While I've given GGG a decent amount of money because I like what they do, there's a 0% chance I would drop $40 on some assugly anime wings. That doesn't make the continual bitching and griping about their pricing model any less tiresome. Plenty of pubbies loving love tentacle wings and if they wanna pay the premium to let the rest of us play the game, more power to them.
