I like how they jammed shoulder buttons on each controller half. They look uncomfortable as hell to use but it is kind of neat that the system basically has built-in 2-player support.

Fuuuuuuck I can't wait til March I need this poo poo immediately It's so smart to have a console that unifies your development process instead of splitting it between handheld and console. Maybe now the next Smash Bros game can afford to have the Ice Climbers in it because it's not restricted by inferior hardware. And also hopefully a bunch of other stuff.  I'm pretty shocked that the main rumors about this thing were all true. I've been conditioned to dismiss info from patents and stuff, probably from following iPhone news where it turns up a lot of red herrings. It's awesome that the home and portable components all appear to be in a single package. I recall some old talk of the portable part not only being sold separately, but coming out a few months earlier than the rest of it. Glad there was no truth to that. I'm guessing in the box you get the dock, screen, 2 mini-cons, and that middle part for an assembled controller. Solid Pro-controller sold separately. If Wii / U controllers work that'd be neat, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm glad it's getting enhanced Mario Kart 8. That game is still amazing. Splatoon Switch looks like more of a sequel.
