Lets not forget the Ssangyong Stavic.... Not only was it an awful name but my GOD was it ugly. Literally looks like someone went to the design department "You need to make a 7 seater and you've got $5 to pull it off!" So they just jammed the boot of a hatch back up level with the roof and filled in the gaps with glass.

Ssangyong are coming up fast, though. Even just a couple of years ago I wouldn't have dreamed of buying a Korean car, but their range of cheap generics isn't half bad now. EDIT - just went looking for their earliest stuff to show how far they've come and, I've gotta say, I'm more likely to buy their first car than their current one. Doesn't hurt that it was a licensed Jeep. Megillah Gorilla fucked around with this message at 12:56 on Oct 19, 2016 |

Ok, the Mighty Boy is kinda hilarious because it's a kei car pickup the size of my parent's dining room table, but Jimny and BRAT are terrible names. Jimny sounds like the broken English version of Jiminy Cricket, and no matter what the acronym is, naming your car after a petulant child isn't a great way to get it taken seriously

There's one of these at work, the name Mazda Bongo is made better by this version (95-05) being called 'Friendee'

quote:With respect Master Wayne, perhaps this is a man that *you* don't fully understand, either. A long time ago, I was in Burma. My friends and I were working for the local government. They were trying to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders by bribing them with precious stones. But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit. So, we went looking for the stones. But in six months, we never met anybody who traded with him. One day, I saw a child playing with a ruby the size of a Ford Kuga. The bandit had been throwing them away. Checks out
