With Television and Blondie and the Ramones and the Dolls and the Dead Boys and MC5 and Iggy & The Stooges and so on. And although one couple co-opted the look and made a fashion statement/"boyband" from it, England still produced acts like the Clash that were nothing like the McLaren/Westwood machine and were in no way created/influenced/molded by them.
